Privacy Policy

PrintableChoreChart.com ("we", "us") is operated by HalalLens. This policy explains what personal information we collect, how we use it, and your rights regarding that information. We only collect information that is necessary to provide and improve our service.

Account Information (if you register)

• Email address — required to create an account.
• Full name — optional, used for display purposes only.
• Password — stored as a one-way bcrypt hash. We never store or have access to your plain-text password.
• Google profile data (if you sign in with Google) — we receive your Google ID, email, name, and profile picture. We do not access your Google contacts, calendar, or any other Google data.

Usage Information

• Download activity — we record which template you downloaded, the format (PDF/PNG), and whether a watermark was applied. For anonymous users, no identifying information is attached.
• Google Analytics — we use Google Analytics 4 to understand how visitors use the site (pages visited, time on site, general location by country). Google Analytics uses cookies and may collect your IP address, which Google processes according to its own privacy policy.

Information We Do Not Collect

• Children's personal information — we do not ask for or store any data about children. Only the adult account holder provides information.
• Payment or financial information — we do not process payments and have no billing system.
• File uploads — users do not upload files to our servers. Chart customization and PDF generation happen entirely in your browser.

• To authenticate your account and maintain your session.
• To determine your account tier and whether to apply a watermark on downloaded charts.
• To send you email verification and password reset emails. We do not send marketing emails or newsletters.
• To analyze aggregate site usage and improve the service.

• NEXT_LOCALE — Stores your preferred language. Expires after 12 months. This is the only cookie we set.
• pcc-access-token — A short-lived authentication token stored in your browser's localStorage (not a cookie). Expires after 15 minutes.
• pcc-refresh-token — A longer-lived session token stored in your browser's localStorage. Expires after 30 days. Used to issue new access tokens without requiring you to sign in again.

Google Analytics sets its own cookies (_ga, _ga_*) to distinguish unique visitors. You can opt out of Google Analytics by installing the Google Analytics Opt-out Browser Add-on.

• Google Analytics 4 — Anonymous site analytics. Operated by Google LLC. See Google's privacy policy at policies.google.com/privacy.
• Google OAuth — Used only if you choose to sign in with Google. We receive your basic profile information (email, name, picture). Operated by Google LLC.
• Google Fonts — Display fonts loaded from Google's CDN. Google may log font requests. See Google Fonts privacy FAQ.
• Hostinger — Our hosting provider. Stores all data (database, emails). Servers located in the EU. See Hostinger's privacy policy at hostinger.com/legal/privacy-policy.

• Passwords are hashed using bcrypt with 12 salt rounds. We never store plain-text passwords.
• All traffic is encrypted via HTTPS with HSTS enabled.
• Authentication endpoints are rate-limited to prevent brute-force attacks.
• Security headers are set on all responses: X-Content-Type-Options, X-Frame-Options, X-XSS-Protection, Content-Security-Policy.

Your account data is retained as long as your account is active. Download history is retained indefinitely for your reference. If you delete your account, your personal data (email, name, password hash) will be removed. Anonymized analytics data may be retained.

Our service creates printable chore charts designed for children, but the service itself is intended for use by parents and caregivers. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under the age of 13 (or the applicable age in your jurisdiction). If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, please contact us and we will delete it.

• Access the personal data we hold about you by visiting your dashboard.
• Request deletion of your account and associated data by contacting us.
• Request a copy of your data in a portable format.
• Opt out of Google Analytics by using the Google Analytics Opt-out Browser Add-on or by disabling cookies in your browser.
